About
Chroniques de la Rentrée Littéraire is an independent editorial site about how reading works: how books are scheduled, surfaced, judged, translated, and remembered. It takes the French autumn publishing season — the rentrée littéraire, the annual flood of new novels — as its way into that machinery.
The site is organised by the four recurring phases of every season: The Waiting, The Flood, The Sorting, and What Remains.
It is a site about reading, not a bookshop. Nothing here is for sale, nothing is scored, and no author is ranked.
